Abstract
Since the long term success of implant treatment for edentulous patients has been established, implant for single tooth restoration is a concern to clinicians. The single tooth implant therapy is more technique sensitive than edentulous or partially edentulous cases in terms of surgical and prosthodontic procedure. Also, the primary reason for single tooth implant restoration is different according to missing area. For example, anterior maxilla area needs more esthetic consideration than posterior area. To meet the demands of patients, following areas should be considered. 1. Diagnosis & treatment plan 2. Restoration driven surgical procedures 3. Prosthetic design 4. Soft tissue management 5. Occlusion 6. Prevention of complications This article will be focused on the above points with clinical cases.
