I investigated the patients which endosseous implant placement was stopped between June 2003 and May 2004. Total 128 patients were counseled. Three hundred fifty three implant fixtures were installed in 117 patients. Implant placement was suspended in 11 patients. Consecutive treatment was stopped in 4 patients from 117 patients which endosseous implants were placed. The causes which implant treatment was stopped or suspended were lacks of motivation, dissatisfaction and distrust about the medical services, weak advantages of endosseous implant treatment and so forth. I would like to emphasize that clinicans should select the contraindicated patients and should not lead the patients with lack of motivation to the implant treatment.
