Five patients with maxillary posterior edentulous ridge had the vertical bony deficiency from alveolar crest to maxillary sinus floor. We performed sinus bone graft using small amount of autogenous bone and bony substitutes. Xenogenous bone graft material(Bio-Oss) was used in one group, alloplastic material(OSTEON^®, XENOS Co. Korea) in the other group. Tissue adhesive was used to stabilize the particulate graft material in all patients. We performed the clinical and histological evaluation and got the favorable results. The endosseous implants were placed without any complications. The domestic alloplastic material which was developed in Korea didn’t show significant differences of bony healing compared to Bio-Oss.
