Information
Interest in intraoral bone harvest technique grows fast recently. For restoration of defect around implant, intraoral bone transfer is demanded. and for better implant treatment, knowing intraoral bone harvest technique becomes essential. We harvest bone from iliac bone and tibia for large defect restoration. However mostly harvesting from intraoral donor site is enough for implantation. Advantage of Intraoral harvesting technique is short surgical operation time, easy harvesting, fast healing time, no visible scar, and practicability with local anesthesia. Shortcoming of Intraoral harvesting technique is secondary defect in donor site which is inevitable because additional operation is necessary, and there are other shortcoming like limited harvesting quantity, and resorption after transplantation. Intraoral donor sites are maxillary tuberosity, zygoma, mandibular coronoid process, mandibular ramus, mandibular body, mandibular symphysis, torus and others. Now I am supposed to present kinds and harvesting ways of useful intraoral bone harvest technique.
