Information
In this article, one-staged and two-staged surgery have been compared. Although there are many more advantages in one-staged surgery compared to the two-staged surgery, two-staged surgery have been preferred by many dental clinicians in the past. Failure in osseointegration, soft tissue problem caused by microp gap between implant components and looseness in the screw or healing abutment are the main problems in practicing non-submerged technique. However, the development in fixture designs have solved or lessened these problems, and one-staged surgery should be the more conventional method in dental implant practice in the future.
