Abstract

The aim of this case report is to show long term result of immediate loading using anterior mandibular 6-implant-supported cantilevered fixed prosthesis. Immediate loading using full mouth implant recover masticatory function and esthetic problem faster, so patients are satisfied but there are many risks. Cantilevers in implant dentistry are beneficial when anatomical limitations preclude the ideal placement of implants. However, cantilevers may adversely affect the biomechanics of implant restoration. Many variables, for example patient’s masticatory force, the shape of dentition, bone quality, can affect success of cantilevers. Guidelines for designing or implementing frameworks with distal cantilevered segments have not been established. More controlled study is needed.
