Abstract
It is required sufficient amount of alveolar bone in residual ridge for the implantation of osseointegrated dental implant fixtures, but there are some anatomical limitations in patients with the severely resorbed alveolar ridges. In mandible it was needed at least 10 cm alveolar bone above mandibular canal for the dental implant. The inferior alveolar nerve transposition technique permits placement of dental implants in atrophied mandibular ridge that lacks sufficient vertical height superior to mandibular canal. We performed this technique with Intergral implant (Calcitek Co) on lower bilateral free end saddle area in 31-year old woman with severely resorbed alveolar ridge. There was mild paresthesia of lower lip in the both side after operation, but numbness was relieved from 1 month postoperatively and after 6 months normal sentation was recovered completely.
