Abstract
The antrum is the dust cleaning, air-filtering and heating cavity lined by ciliated columnar epithelium with reverse pyramidal shape of six bony wall boundaries, occuping posterior part of maxillae. There are projections of roots of molars. Webs and many conical elevations on the lower wall of the antrum. Surgical phase does not coincide with diagnostic data because of unattainable roentgenographic details i.e. lateral, lower wall pin point pneumatization or paper like thin bony remnants. Various complicated cases of upper posterior problems are needed a two year treatment period by conventional methods. (1, 3, 4) Some special ideas has introduced to solve the problems by so many authorities, but without prompt treatment measure. (7, 9) The author has utilized New Damool Technique into the following categories to solve problems ease and save time as follows : 1. Lateral wall fracture, utilize the window bone into or onto the lower wall. 2. Lower wall fracture, detach and expand the Schneiderian membrane with bone substitute filling subsequent implantation on Misch class-Ⅱ, Ⅲ. antrum more than 2-3mm height of remaining bone. The new Damool technique can be divided into two category names. Ⅰ. Sinus Lateral Wall Fracture Technique A. Into The Sinus (Pierce Inlay Technic) B. Onto The Sinus (Onlay Technic) Ⅱ. Lower Wall Fracture-Expansion Technic ( Schneiderian membrane detachment & expansion technique ) These techniques are very useful to save time and minimize surgery.
