Abstract
Object: The purpose of this study was to evaluate a protocol for immediate function with NobelGuideTM(Nobel Biocare AB, Göteborg, Sweden) and compare with the conventional implant treatment. Method and material: A 41-year-old healthy man presented with a mandibular complete denture for prosthetic treat ment. There was severe periodontitis at maxilla and severe mobility was observed to all of remained teeth. As the patient wanted to have fixed-type restoration, implant supported restoration was planned. On the mandible, immediate loading of implant using NobelGuideTM was implemented. On the maxilla, implant was installed immediately after extraction of remained maxillary teeth, and gave early load. Conclusion: Results from comparing the processes of NobelGuideTM approach and conventional approach showed that the treatment procedure of NobelGuideTM approach allowed for precise implant placement, which made immediate delivery of the final prosthesis possible. The post-operative pain was reported as minimal, and all prostheses and individual mplants were recorded as stable after 4months.
