Abstract
Common patterns frequently seen in the traumatized anterior maxilla are extensive loss of teeth and bone. Vertical resorption of the alveolar ridge in this condition creates difficulties in inserting implants and in restoration of functional and esthetic prosthetic rehabilitation. Although implant installation with guided bone regeneration is successful, apically placed implants in the atrophic anterior maxilla would result in long clinical crowns. When unsatisfactory results are expected due to apically positioned implants, segmental sandwich osteotomy with ramal bone graft for vertical augmentation of the anterior maxilla and repositioning osseointegrated implants can be used for favorable results.
